Baleen Kitchen is planning an elaborate Valentines menu. Located in Redondo Beach its part of the Portofino Hotel. Check out our last piece here for some background. The V day menu was pretty good. Favorite dishes had to be the duck carnitas, lobster mac and cheese, and the lemon meringue. The lemon meringue wins because I dont usually like many lemon dishes and it was great. Pretty much a perfect little pie. Duck carnitas were really interesting. The cornmeal crepes were a nice touch. I am still in love with their papas bravas (fried potatoes) and missed them on the pre fix but you cant have everything! Overall a great Valentines day spot.
