The Anaheim Packing House is well...an old packing house that has been turned into a marketplace. Almost all of which is food based. It has crappy parking but yet its been packed with people form the coveted 20-30 age group since its been opened. What malls across the country could learn from APH is what draws people in. Unique artisan food. I am going to give credit to some malls. A few like Westfield Century City have made an effort to get good places in (and it shows with their crowds.) The problem is how malls don't see food courts as a draw and use them as a slush fund. Driving them out with high rents and not leaving room for people with inspiration or unique ideas, only leaving McDonalds, Sbarro, etc. I would suggest mall management going to the packing house to check out various concepts but you may have trouble parking.
