Asian Box is from Nor Cal specifically Palo Alto (really close to San Francisco) knowing that makes understanding the restaurant a little easier. Located in a shopping center across from the Burbank AMC its a small shop you may easily overlook. Inside you are going to make connections to Chiptole. Its a build your bowl (box whatever) concept with an Asian flair. The SF style twist is that Asian Box is strictly gluten free and peanut free. I wasn't too pleased that the only non rice base was....rice noodles and they were cold. So you had better enjoy rice. Health wise they offer a lot of veggie options. At this point I was thinking that if you are a health conscious celiac this may be the place for you. My steak was cooked well...I think I got the wrong sauce for my box though. In my defense most of the sauces run from hot to that is painfully hot. I felt good about eating at Asian Box but I didn't really enjoy it. Maybe there will be a next time.
