This Cookie isn't Crumbling : Honey & Butter Macarons Open in Costa Mesa

 Saying  Honey & Butter Macarons is retro is a little bit of a understatement. They literally are in a  airstream parked outside a parking lot. The difference is that trailer is in The Lab in Costa Mesa. Leanne the owner has gone through a lot of things before settling on baking as her passion. Things came together and she has her spot in The Lab now and she says its doing well.
And it should. Good macarons are hard to find. Good macarons with a baker with a sense of creativity are even harder to find. With both her trailer and her cookies you will find Leanne's love of Japanese culture. She even makes Hello Kitty macarons. But the reason to go for me is the product. Theres nothing better offered in the area (that I have tried personally as always emails are welcome.) She tries to make everything natural as possible (although I agree a grey pistachio macaron may not go over well) using jams, nuts, etc. Hopefully at some point they will do some collaboration to get some macaron ice cream sandwiches to Costa Mesa. In the meantime you should support a young baker with dreams.
