Project Taco is all about tacos. You won't find a burrito here ever founder/owner Nick Fontova says. Its a simple menu of braised tacos with a few extra touches. Founded in 2012 in a stand in Hermosa Beach this is Project Taco's second location. Fontova feels hes addressing a stretch of LA thats lacking a lot of good food options and Project Taco provides that. The tacos can get a little crazy. Theres a hummus based taco and a vegan fake beef taco. The peanut butter Thai chicken taco may win craziest taco though. My recommendations would be the chicken and avocado it's served with a fiery tasty habanero salsa And the other would be the beef and bacon (I swap out the horseradish for aioli.) If you are in the area its a great spot for Taco Tuesday.
