Gasolina Cafe Brings the Spanish Countryside to to SFV

Chef Sandra Cordero wanted a nice neighborhood spot where people could meet over some breakfast and coffee in this unassuming strip infested area of the San Fernando Valley thus  Gasolina Cafe  was born.  Celebrating Chef Cordero's roots the restaurant is all about rustic Spanish style cooking. With nothing on the menu over 20 dollars it may be the most affordable Spanish  dining spot in Los Angeles.

It is almost a shame that Gasolina is only open for dinner for special events because the food would sure to be excellent. With a one page menu everything at Gasolina seems to be cooked with a lot of attention to detail from the fried spanish potatoes (some of the best I have ever had) to the churros. There is nothing on the menu that if you were to Instagram people wouldn't bitch at you for not taking them to brunch. Although you need to get some of the potatoes. That may just be the Irish in me talking.
