Wildcraft has been around downtown Culver City since 2013. When it opened it was a pizzeria focused on their signature sourdough pies. Recently though they brought in a new chef Bryant Wigger (from Trattoria Neapolis in Pasadena) to take over with a new menu and a renovated restaurant. Gone are the sourdough pies. Now the menu focuses on meats and pasta dishes. Favorite thing for me? They offer a fried smelt (a tiny fish) appetizer that is very addictive. I know why more places don't serve them (because its a whole fish with bones) which is a shame because they are tasty little fried suckers. I also like the donuts. It seems like they are working out the kinks of the new menu so I would give them a bit to get everything going smoothly.
